Artistic Director/Choral Conductor
Family Folk Chorale, Arlington, MA
Chris programs and arranges music, conducts rehearsals, and produces concerts with the much heralded Family Folk Chorale.  As Boston's premier intergenerational chorus and instrumental ensemble, 60 singers ages 3 to 83 raise their voices in harmony, performing contemporary American folk music for sold-out audiences at venues including the National Heritage Museum, Arlington’s Regent Theatre and the legendary Club Passim and on stage with guest artists Bill Staines, Sol y Canto, Scott Alarik (Radio Host, Boston Globe Folk writer), Robbie O’Connell  (Clancy Bros.), Tracy Grammer & Jim Henry (Signature Sounds recording artists) and Eliza Moore.  Under Chris’s direction, the group has grown from 15 members to 60 members and has had a 40-family waiting list. The repertoire consists primarily of contemporary and traditional American folk songs arranged for intergenerational chorus (e.g. Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Grammer, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, even the Beatles). See familyfolkchorale.org for a list of past repertoire, including dozens of Chris’s choral arrangements, primarily 2 to 4-part harmony, for intergenerational chorus, family groups, and solos for all ages.   Some of these are currently available as recordings on the CDs “Links in a Chain” & "Songs for Living On".  Others may be available as sheet music sometime in the near future.
